He’s rich, talented and way out of her league. Now he’s making her an offer she can’t refuse…

Football has always been Cam Hartson's life. But when he's forced to retire following an injury, he slinks back to his small home town, planning to lie low and lick his wounds. But then he meets Mia Devlin.

The beautiful single mom of two tearaway boys has no interest in love. She's too busy trying to keep her head above water to notice the way Cam looks at her every time he coaches her son.

There's never been a challenge Cam hasn't met before. But Mia might just be the one that gets away...

Rating: 4.5*

Cam has returned home after suffering a career ending head injury. Being home is what he needs to help decide on his new path.

Single mother Mia has moved in with her uncle after a nasty separation that has left her and kids homeless and virtually penniless. She is there to pick herself up, find a job and provide for her boys.  Until her boys end up crashing into Cam's life and the hot football player is faced with a feisty and passionate woman, protecting her children.

There are certainly fireworks between Cam and Mia right from the get go. However being a single mother and trying to date comes with its complications. I loved the chemistry between Mia and Cam. The way they are together is heart warming and the way that he steps when she needs him the most was just right I loved the supporting characters around them - Mia's boys and Cam's brothers and sisters.

Heartbreak Brothers Series

Carrie Elks writes contemporary romance with a sizzling edge. Her first book, Fix You, has been translated into eight languages and made a surprise appearance on Big Brother in Brazil. Luckily for her, it wasn’t voted out. Carrie lives with her husband, two lovely children and a larger-than-life black pug called Plato. When she isn’t writing or reading, she can be found baking, drinking an occasional (!) glass of wine, or chatting on social media.
