Baseball player Mitchell feels the 'boom' the minute he claps eyes on Bailey. He had just been hit in the head by baseball but he knows that she is the one for him. Nurse Bailey doesn't want to be with a player, which is exactly what she thinks he is. When she disappears from the hospital and no-one will help him find her or get a message to her, it looks as though she has slipped through his fingers. That is until a kleptomaniac Maine Coon brings Mitchell to her door.
Mitchell is very clear in what he wants and doesn't deviate from the path he has chosen. His path includes Bailey as his soulmate - he just needs her to get on board. Bailey is sceptical because of her first impression of him as a player. She is strong and independent and has made her own way for a while.. Whilst Mitchell is famous and has learnt to deal with the pitfalls that come with it, Bailey hasn't yet isn't fazed by it and just supports Mitchell through.
There is is more to this story which brings a little suspense along the way and really brings stress into their newly formed relationship. It has the potential to make or break them and brings danger to their door. I loved how the various elements of the story came together to create a great story.
