Silver Spoon: Love rekindled.

Zoey wants to see her sister, and two brothers settled. She put her goals on hold, brought everyone home, and is determined to use the re-opening of their Silver Fox Resort to reconnect. Her plan is working until complication walks through the door in the form of Nate Keller, the first man she loved and trusted. Nate wasn’t planning to attend the Silver Fox Resort opening until curiosity got the better of him. Has Zoey changed? At eighteen, he fell hard for the irresistible, spunky girl, but her father had bigger plans for his eldest daughter and forced them apart. Now a world-renowned master chef, he’s come back to meet Zoey as her equal, and show her what they’ve missed.

REVIEW

Rating: ☆☆☆☆

40+ romance - where the characters have lived a lot and come out the other end. Mistakes have been made but their is still the chance for a HEA.

Zoey is determined to finish up the resort that her father started building before he died. She sees it as an opportunity to bring her brothers and sister back together. If only she can get them on board. When the opening is at risk of being a huge disappointment, Nate steps in to save the day with his amazing chef skills. Nate is the boy who got away from Zoey when they were younger and she never truly forgot him. Nate is more than just a chef though - he is world renowned but only passing through. Nate's revelations about her father starts Zoey down a path of discovery that he was not really the man she thought he was.

I loved the strength that Zoey showed in getting the resort open and her determination to keep her family together at all costs.  I did not like the way she made assumptions about Nate based on their past and their meeting again in the present - it showed a slightly snobbish side to her that was not flattering. However, this doesn't last long and she is not afraid to admit it when she is wrong. Nate drifts from place to place making a career for himself as he has never really had a place he can call home or a purpose to settle down.

I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry between these two is there right from the start and only builds the more they spend together. I am looking forward to reading more about this family as they overcome their past and work for their futures together.
