Anders and Law are identical twins, which comes in useful for Anders. After suffering a horrendous trauma, Anders has real trouble ending relationships and Law steps in to help him out. He also steps in when Anders' anxiety gets the better of him, which is how Law ends up on a blind date with Reed. Only Reed believes Law is Anders and Law does nothing to correct this. Yes it is complicated and messy because the hook ups between them are Law as Anders, whilst the friendship that develops is Law as Law.

Law has never fully admitted to himself or anyone that he is bi-sexual which explains his lack off forthcomingness about his true identity. Yes this will cause issues and yes you can see the train wreck coming a mile off but you are so invested by that point that you have to know what the outcome will be other side despite the feelings of frustration.

There is a side to this story about abuse that adds an edge to the story. It is not fully explored in this book as this is more about the impact of abuse on those who love the person who was abused. We get a taste of Anders and his story through Law's story. It left me wanting more, despite knowing it won't be a pretty story.
