The biggest story of her life is the one he wants to
hide.
I’m homeless by
choice.
I have no intention
of returning to my former life after what I’ve done.
This—living among
the filth and discarded remnants of others—is what I deserve.
As atonement for my
sins, I give back; I help those who cannot help themselves. But it’s always
under the guise of anonymity.
Newspaper headlines
throughout the city are clamoring to discover my identity. Including the
beautiful woman who manages to see through my “armor.”
She has the
capability to put my entire life at risk.

Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆
This was a unique read and a refreshing one at that. A complete move away from your typical romance with atypical characters and story.
We have Jude, who is living on the streets but is determined to do good for the community he lives in by doing good deeds. One of which was to come to Faith's rescue when her car runs out of petrol. He wants nothing in return but the community rallies around him when he needs it. Faith is a journalist who doesn't really enjoy her job and is sent to find the identity of the good Samaritan.
This is not a hearts and flowers type of read. It is gritty and real, with some difficult events that may be a trigger for some people. Jude is not your typical male lead but he is no less swoon-worthy and admirable. This is a reminder that our lives can turn very quickly and we could all find ourselves in a similar situation. It is a story about strength and compassion.
