Parker Kent . . .

Deliciously good-looking

Basketball captain

Complete and utter jerk

At some point, a friendship forms. It’s not what I expected; he’s not what I expected. Those walls I put up are being torn down piece by piece, allowing Parker into my heart. Am I setting myself up for disaster, or is my Monday-night guy just the antidote my wounded heart needs?

Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Addison had a once time kiss with Parker, which led to her boyfriend becoming more controlling.  Parker has liked her for a really long time so when they find her boyfriend and his girlfriend together then it could be his chance with her.  Except she hates him as he is cocky and arrogant and makes her feel.  The majority of the way Parker acts around her is a defense mechanism to protect himself when she couldn't be his.

Parker works really hard to prove himself to her and show that he's not as bad as she thought.  He brings out the best ...and the worst in her.  Addison trust easily after the way those closest to her treat her badly and she struggles to let him in.

A really enjoyable read which was well written.  Sometimes with characters who are in college, you find them over dramatic and over reacting to situations but I didn't feel that here.  There was a maturity to them both that made this a really good read.
