Review of "Wicked Innocence" by Missy Johnson

"Wicked Innocence" by Missy Johnson
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

We first meet 14 year old Mikayla as she is getting ready for a new life. Her mother blames her for the death of her brother. She paid 1,600 dollars so she could get a new life as 18 year old Micah Lawson. 3 years later Micah is auditioning for a band called Resurrection, she was so nervous that she screwed up her audition for it so she got them to stay and listen to her again. They told her about a gig that they have at the Bell Center for a private party and if she impressed them then she would be a part of the band. She was running late for her shift at the diner, Marlon her boss wasn't very happy about it. Micah told Dee about how she has a final audition that she has at the bell center. Dee goes with her to the party and drives because she isn't legally able to drink. While waiting for her time to go up on the stage she meets Saxon Waite. Micah was so nervous about going on stage, he told her to block everyone out and sing to him. She got the job and she was trying to find her friend Dee but of course like any other time Dee ditched her to go be with some guy that she met. Saxon offers to take her home. This story is a standalone. This book's genre is Romance.

Micah is 21 years old, she was let down by the only one she has ever loved. She avoids friendships and relationships. Saxon is the manager of Resurrection, Harry's cousin. He is and ex bad boy of rock turned recluse. He has a dog named Broosky. Harry is the lead guitarist in Resurrection, cocky. Will plays the drums for Resurrection. Liam bass guitarist for Resurrection. Dee works with Micah at the Diner, 19 Micah's friend. Marlon hates everything, Micah's boss. I really liked how all the characters worked together.

I really loved this book. The story line was really good and I was hooked from the first page. It's a fast read and really hard to put down. Missy's style of writing was really good. This is my first book by Missy Johnson and it most definitely will not be my last. I can't wait to read more stories by Missy Johnson. I highly recommend this book.
