Review of "Consumed" By: J.C. Hannigan

"Consumed" By: J.C. Hannigan
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Harlow is trying to get her life back on track after the events of 'Collide'. In University, has a job and a best friend: all she needs is her heart to move forward from Iain. Enter Jax who gets who her heart pumping more than anyone else since Iain. Will she take the chance?

Harlow spends a lot of time doubting her relationship with Iain was actually a relationship and if he was using her. With Iain absent from her life, the introspection could potentially bring her down. Jax is damaged himself but this means that he is empathetic and can read and understand Harlow.

The secrets of her past come back to haunt her, forcing her to confront the past and deal with the emotional and physical consequences. Harlow, as a character, seems maturer in this instalment and we start to see her become more comfortable with herself before events bring it all crashing down.

A nail biting, emotional read that had me gasping and crying out for more. I really want to see what is next for Harlow as her journey is set to continue.
