Review for "Shameless" By: Lisa Renee Jones

"Shameless" By: Lisa Renee Jones
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

This certainly had my heart racing and had me on the edge of my seat with this fast paced conclusion to Nick and Faith's story.

As they come to trust each other with their hearts, there are still secrets that could destroy the fragile trust they have.  Nick is closer to unraveling the mystery that links the deaths of his father and Faith's mother, closer to finding out who so desperately wants Faith's winery but Faith is in the dark about the links between his family and hers.  Faith has found herself again with Nick after suffering at the hands of her ex.  She is painting again and finding her self confidence and belief in herself.

With danger never far away and with those who want to destroy them never far away, it makes for a tense read as you are waiting for the other shoe to fall.  Nick, 'the Tiger', becomes very much a pussy cat with Faith but willing to live up his reputation to protect Faith.

Lisa Renee Jones has fast become a favourite of mine with her superbly crafted stories that are full of suspense and characters that get under you skin.  Writing of the highest standard.  Loved it.

Hannah saw him and knew he was the one.

All it took was one look into that haunted man’s eyes, and she was lost, never to be found again.
She thinks she has it all. His love, a new baby made with that love, and a house to raise their blended family.
She’s wrong, and Travis’ ex-wife is out to prove it.
***
Travis doesn’t deserve Hannah. All he’s done is hurt her.
She’s done everything in her power to keep everyone happy, but the more she tries, the harder his ex-wife pushes. Until one day, there’s nothing left to push.
Hannah leaves, and Allegra wins.
But Travis isn’t willing to let her have her way any longer.
He fights back, and only gets a bullet to the chest to show for it.

Lotus by T.L. Smith

To break a heart is easy.
All you have to do is reach in, wrap your blood covered hands around it, and pull.
This happened to me.
Two hands, both red as my hair, did this exact thing.
Tore it away like it wasn’t made for me.
Maybe it was his to take?
Because years on, with those same blood red hands, he still has it.
In his hands.
And he won’t give it back.
But the real question is, do I want it back.
He is dangerous, uncontrollable, and downright sexy.
I fell for it all, but in the end, he didn’t catch me he let me fall.
