Review of "Plaything" By: Jason Luke & Jade West

I am still on the fence with this one. It is certainly going in a very interesting direction and I do want more but there were elements that left me uncomfortable, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Amy has been tricked and sold into a submissive relationship by sadistic SOBs. I will say that this is not a dom/sub relationship because it is not consensual and actually amounts to kidnapping. Robert, part of this family by blood only, has escaped the clutches of his father and his brother only to be pulled back to train Amy or risk the destruction of everything he has worked so hard to build. Robert is the complete opposite to his father and his brother, Alistair. He is respectful and is a Dom for the enjoyment of both parties.

The contrast between Robert and Alistair is startling and this is what makes Amy's situation all the worse as you imagine the things done to her Alistair as he tries to gain control over her. Amy's fiery nature means that her instinct is to fight back.

This was certainly an interesting opening to this series and one that can be read quickly in one sitting. It leaves you wanting more without realising it.
