"Delirious (Dangerous #3)" By: Suzannah Daniels
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆
Delirious is the concluding part of the Dangerous Trilogy
and you really need to read both Dangerous and Devious first to get the full
impact of Stone and Dara's journey together. The events of Delirious are set
four years after the conclusion of Devious, which saw Stone Hamilton and Dara
Golding get engaged and finds them still engaged. Stone has changed considerably from the man we met at the
start of this journey. He had a lot of wonderful traits that were just hidden
in his attempts to protect himself and it is Dara that brings out the best in
him. It is because of this that Stone is fiercely protective of Dara and will
do anything and everything in his power to protect Dara from hurt and anguish.
When Stone is blackmailed from an unexpected source, Stone's first reaction is
to sort it out without Dara finding out - to protect her. Well, that's not
going to end well! Dara doesn't want to be protected and she wants to be able
to trust Stone - something she is still struggling with and Stone keeping secrets
from her doesn't help with this. This secret has the potential to destroy their
relationship. Will they get their HEA or will outside forces succeed in
destroying in their relationship? It has been a real joy to share Stone and Dara's journey
together, their love for each other, and their commitment to each over the five
years of the series. Suzannah Daniels has created two characters that are meant
to be together and who bring out the best in each other. Whilst many books in
this genre throw everything and the kitchen sink at the plot, Suzannah Daniels
has kept the focus on the characters and allows the reader to truly experience
what the characters are thinking and feeling. You feel frustrated along with
Dara when you know that Stone is keeping something secret but don't know what
it is. And you feel Stone's desperation when he thinks that he's lost Dara
forever. One thing is certain and that is their love is true and pure. This is a series I will revisiting again and again. One word
to sum up this book? Beautiful!
