When I realised that this book was about Scott and Davis, two of the characters from Let Me Show You, I was excited to read it. Scott is gay and has been closeted for so long that he is in denial about his own sexuality. It is only when his behaviour impacted on Carter that he finally accepted who he is and was able to start travelling along his path of healing. Davis is a single dad to a beautiful baby girl and is bisexual.
The first time these two meet sparks fly and the sexual chemistry between them is off the charts but Davis recognises the inner turmoil Scott is going through and doesn't rush things with him. Davis is perfect for Scott. He is comfortable and confident in his own skin, loves his family, and is accepting and forgiving. This in turn helps with Scott's acceptance of who he is and a growing self-confidence. Scott is very much like an onion and the more you find out about him, the more the layers are stripped back to reveal a vulnerable man who just wants to be accepted and truly loved for himself.
This was such a strong character driven read with lots of strong and fun characters to take us on a journey. A really good and sweet read.
