Anabella has hired a PI to investigate Renata. Dillan and Anabella have been together a year when they fly to California to go to her sister Kayla's wedding.
Anabella is living in Paris and working as the Ambassador's personal assistant. She went to college in Paris because Renata ruined her chance's at going to school in the states. Marcus will do anything to protect his family, has been married to Renata for four years. Michael wishes that it was him that Anabella liked. He is in trouble and Marcus's brother. Dillan is Anabella's boyfriend, the ambassador's son. William Jones is the Ambassador, really likes the work that Anabella does for him. Renata has had feelings for Marcus for a long time, devised a plan to get what she wanted from him. Kayla is getting married to Robert. Robert is a very successful criminal attorney. Slade has feelings for Anabella. Lizzie is Anabella's only friend in Paris and she works with her.
This is the second book in this series. I recommend that you read the first one before this one. I truly liked how well the characters were developed and how well it was written. I can't wait to read more books by Krystal White.

For the first 17 years of Anabella's life have been very fortunate. She was blessed with loving and adoring parents. After Anabella's parents death, she closed herself off, preferring to be on her own she didn't even allow Evan in. Kayla agreed to sell the house and have Anabella move to LA with her. She thinks that a change of scenery will be good and that she might be able to mourn her loss. What she didn't was to meet Marcus and everything started to move fast.
Anabella is 17 years old and really close with her step sister Kayla. She was involved in a lot of extra curricular activities, very smart. She was also very outgoing. Kayla is Anabella's sister, she is studying to become a doctor at UCLA. She has very weird shifts. She cares deeply about Anabella. Robert is a Criminal Lawyer, Kayla's boyfriend and he negotiated the terms for Kayla and Anabella. Kayla and Robert have been together since Jr. High. He is Lisa's older brother. Evan was Anabella's boyfriend, cheater. He moved here from Sweden. Lisa used to be Anabella's best friend. Marcus owns a tattoo shop, an escort service and a high class strip club. he is the youngest of three.
This is the first book in this series and my first book by this author and I can honestly say this book is very good. The characters are very well developed and it's very well written. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
