This was a second chance read with a secret baby to boot.
Quinn and Mic had one night together and then he went back to serving his country, leaving Quinn with no way of reaching him when she discovered she was pregnant. An encounter in a club where Quinn dances, brings them back together and Mic a big surprise. The connection between these two is instant and they burn up the pages but more importantly is his acceptance of his daughter and how he is with her. The best trait in a man.
Quinn has been dancing for years as a way of ensuring that her daughter is provided for, especially as her own family cut her out of their lives. She has worked so hard to give her the best but it has come with its own problems in the form of a stalker. With Mic on her side, she is well and truly protected and loved.
Evan Grace has a style of writing that is focussed on describing every action the character carries out which is to the point and doesn't use more words than necessary. This sometimes takes away some of the emotion from the story but once you get in, it doesn't become as noticeable and you find yourself fully immersed in the book.
