Teddy is the latest patient to arrive at Oakside. Teddy is the only survivor of his squad and he feels guilty for surviving. Because of this his recovery has come to a halt. Mia is volunteering at Oakside over the summer and is allocated to Teddy to make sure he gets to his appointments.
Mia is energetic, confident and outgoing. It is her energy and heart that shows Teddy the light at the end of the tunnel and gives himself to aim for. Teddy's survivor's guilt is exasperated by the fact one of his team left him a lot of money on his death.
This was a different feel to the others in the series. The battles that service men and women have to go through upon their return are more than any other fight they have fought. Their journeys are inspiring and harrowing. This series provides a reminder of the sacrifices these men and women make for us.
