This was an amazing book!!!! Bella Jewel is an amazing author and I will definitely be reading more of her work. My only complaint is I would of liked more of Luke's take on what was happening. I loved that his past was explained so it was easier to understand the connection between him and Ava.
Ava is 24 and just moved out on her own. She grew up in the MC lifestyle since her dad is the president of Hell's Knights. Ava and her family never knew what was truly going on in the MC. When Ava is kidnapped because of the MC, the happenings hit home with everyone. No one ever thought it would touch their families in that way. Ava is released and found by Detective Lucas Black. She lies to everyone and ends up drowning but Lucas is able to save her.
Lucas knows pain. He felt it when he lost his 4 year old daughter. If that wasn't enough he also lost his second wife Jenn to drugs, alcohol and another guy. He searches for her but always comes up empty. With Ava now in his life his determination dies down and he is starting to breathe again. When Jenn shows up again out of the blue all hell breaks loose and Ava is kidnapped again.
