New deputy in town Sydney is looking for a fresh start and to put her past behind her for once and all. Her first day on the job is not as quiet as she hopes for from a small town, as she finds herself at the crime scene involving a serial killer.
One of the first people she meets in town is Levi, the doctor brother to Abe and Theo. The attraction between them is instanteous. However, there is reluctance from Levi to get involved with Sydney given the dangers involved in her work, given that he has suffered loss in his past. Sydney's life has not been plain sailing before arriving in River's End. Her experience of relationships is limited and her knowledge corrupted.
As they get closer to capturing the serial killer, the danger gets closer and closer. Levi needs to decide if she is worth taking the risk of further hurt or to let her go. The decision may be taken from him if he waits too long.
Sydney came to River's End for a fresh start and found it. Despite her past she is a strong woman - stronger than she thinks to break away from the toxicity of her past. Levi may just be the man to show what a true man looks like and what a real relationship should be.
Another fantastic visit to River's End - I don't think my heart can take any more excitement!! Fast paced and energetic. Loved the characters, their story, the setting and their journey together.
