Oh my gosh - my heart broke for Nick throughout this. Nick was adopted into the Moonshine Task Force family and has been fighting against feelings of unworthiness his entire life. He very much feels like he doesn't deserve to find love. He has always found himself wanting more with Kelsea but has been unwilling to take it further because of how he feels about himself. Kelsea has always wanted more with him and refuses to give up on wanting more. She is determined to show him he is worthy of everything.
When a young boy's situation mirrors his own past, it brings him full circle and a greater understanding of himself, of what his family did for him and that love is not conditional. This was an emotional read as you read Nick's inner struggles and the unconditional support he gets from Kelsea. Another great addition to this series.
