A second chance romance that has been years in the making. Lily and Brut were destined to be together until her sister decided to break them apart, leaving Brut with a son and Lily broken hearted and alone. When twenty plus years later they find themselves staying in the same holiday house at the same time, it could finally be their time.
These two never really moved on but have never gone after what they wanted either. Lily is guarded - for good reason. Brut likes to be in control and with Lily everything he is feeling is outside of his control.
I loved the fact that these two were both older than your traditional romance book couple. It brought a maturity with it that is sometimes lacking and that drives me bananas. These two still drove me plenty crazy but I could relate more to them and their reasons. Well worth a read.
