His lips are covered in my wetness and when he moves to kiss me, I taste myself on him and I’m amazed at how much I like it. Never before have I done this—Jake would always wipe his mouth before kissing me—but Zane, he takes my mouth and owns it. Our tongues are swirling around each other and he takes my bottom lip between his teeth and bites me before leaning back to look at me.

“You like that, baby?” He asks me. I can’t even answer so I nod my head. “That’s only the beginning, love, and we have all night.”

He discards his clothes and quickly rolls on a condom, before pressing his body on mine. I can feel his hardness between my legs. If I move just right, his tip will be at my opening. He takes my mouth once more. He moves onto my shoulders and neck and starts all over again. My hands are in his hair, then I move them up and down his body. I use my nails on his back and when I reach his ass, I squeeze with just enough force to get his attention.

Zane looks into my eyes. “After this, Faith, there is no turning back. You’ll be mine forever and I’ll never let you go. You’ll belong to me, your body will belong to me, and only I will ever touch you again.”

Taking a leap of faith after losing the one person you loved takes tremendous courage, which Faith has in bucket loads. The feeling of loss is so poignant as the author weaves past memories with the present. Faith has been both mum and dad to her two daughters, continued her husband's legacy and held it all together.

When Zane comes barrelling into her life, she is in a place to move forward with her own life, but will she let him in?

I loved the paranormal feel to this read, with Jake looking after his family from beyond the grave as it matches my own beliefs. I really loved all the characters and the way the relationship developed between Zane and Faith and how Zane gives himself so completely to Faith and her girls. There was, however, part of the story that for me didn't fit in with the way the characters had been portrayed to that point. I understand why it was done but it stood out whereas the rest of it flowed seamlessly. It was still a very enjoyable read and I like the idea of this series very much. I will be coming back for more.

ML is currently stationed overseas with her husband and two children. Her obsessions include Luke Bryan, her mother's cooking (especially her breakfast tacos), wild berry skittles, coffee, dark chocolate, the color purple, and romance novels--the happily ever after kind, of course.
