Review of "Out of the Wreckage" (Wrecked and Yours #2) By: CeeCee James

"Out of the Wreckage" (Wrecked and Yours #2) By: CeeCee James
Rating:  ☆☆☆☆

The past is not always left behind…

A sequel to ‘Wrecked and Yours’, this continues the journey of Miranda and Jason who have been friends since they found each other as teenage runaways. Brought back together after Cassie was in a car accident, they are on a more solid foundation but that doesn’t mean everything is settled. While apart, Miranda moved forward with her life as best she could, making friends and trying to build a future. When she returned to her family she knew exactly where she needed to be. And who she wanted to be with. When her other life revisits her new one, Miranda will have to fight even harder for Jason and the life she really wants.

I really enjoyed this follow up story as Miranda and Jason’s romance takes another turn. Given their backgrounds it’s easy to see how doubts about themselves and each other could creep back in. Bouncing back and forth between their teenage years and the present it helps to understand the struggles they are having now. Uncertainty wasn’t created overnight but in a series of events and time that isn’t always easy to shake off.

Well-written, with just a bit over the top angst to keep me guessing, this author is firmly on my follow list.
