Review
Rating: 4.5

Julia is in Brazil on Vacation celebrating her birthday. She decided that she was going to go to a Hostel, where she meets a very handsome man by the name of Blake. Blake shows her were she will be rooming with the other girls at the hostel. He invites Julia to come to the pool with him and his friends. Blake was worried that she wasn't going to come to the pool, when he saw her he couldn't stop staring. Julia told him that she was there celebrating her 30th birthday. Blake is going to help her celebrate it.

Julia is very independent, she has always been the careful one, the safe one, the one who is strong. She is also Liz's protector. She hardly ever does anything for herself. She is a Math Teacher at Chicago High School. Blake is from Australia, he is 31 years old. He is a planner and doesn't like not following them. He is a writer for Everlastings, he is getting over a heartbreak. Jamie is from Australia, he is Chris's boyfriend, loves to travel. Chris is from Australia, she loves to travel, Jamie's girlfriend. Lukas is a Dutch Photographer. Liz is Julia's best friend, she is Danny's sister. Danny is Julia's ex, Liz's sister.

This is my first book by Rebecca Brooks and it will not be my last. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I couldn't help but feel connected to the characters. I couldn't put this book down.

Rebecca Brooks lives in New York City in an apartment filled with books. She received a PhD in English but decided it was more fun to write books than write about them.

She has backpacked alone through India and Brazil, traveled by cargo boat down the Amazon River, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, explored ice caves in Peru, trekked to the source of the Ganges, and sunbathed in Burma, but she always likes coming home to a cold beer and her hot husband in the Bronx.

Rebecca is the author of Above All and How to Fall. She likes outdoorsy guys with both muscle and heart, and independent women ready to try something new.
