Review of "A Dangerous Reality" By: Layla Wolfe

Rating: 3.5*

Lock and Turk are members of two separate MCs, who find themselves in a compromising situation with the other and are blackmailed into working together for fear of being outed.  Their quest takes them into all sorts of situations that lead them straight into trouble.  As they progress on their mission, their attraction and their relationship grows.

Turf wars, drugs, mafia-type bosses, executions and more much all make an appearance - your typical MC themes.  But what makes this different from other MC books I have read is the relationship between Turk and Lock.  Their relationship is not typical in a very macho world and they have to face a lot of bigotry because of this.

Whilst the author had a really good engaging writing style, there were times that gay stereotypical statements were put in; almost as if to prove that these two are gay.  Yes, they are macho but we don't need the constant reinforcements that they are gay through this stereotypical statements. The other issue I had was around why every encounter they had with men on the road saw these men wanting a piece of them sexually.

This is a difficult book to review as I enjoyed lots of the story but other parts I didn't.  The parts I didn't enjoy just irritated me.  It showed huge potential.  The relationship between Lock and Turk grows in such a way that kept me wanting to read the story to its conclusion.
