Review of "Intentional" By: M.K. Harkins

"Intentional" By: M.K. Harkins

Rating: ☆☆☆☆

This is so much more than your typical second chance romance story. It has a real suspenseful and psychological feel to it.

Mattie is the girl next door type: sweet, innocent, kind, generous and much more. When she falls for Jeremy, she falls big time and she is on track for her perfect HEA. Let me say this, Mattie's character is a genuinely nice character; not OTT nice, which makes what happens to her all the sadder. She walks in on her fiancé with another woman. Heartbroken she leaves town to start afresh and meets engineer/rock star, Cade. Cautious about falling in love again she keeps him at arm's length.

The thing is though that things are not always as they seem and someone is determined to ruin her life and see her unhappy. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

The different viewpoints we get throughout the book mean that we unravel the mystery as the story unfolds without waiting for the big reveal at the end. It makes Mattie's reactions at the end all the more real. Each of the characters jump off the page at you and create unique and extreme feelings towards them. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
