“The Gifted” by Tamra Lassiter

This was a unique book. Not something I’d pick for myself, but enjoyed all the less. Sara’s gift of flight was discovered when she was 8 years old. Sara is out of place in her life. She has very overprotective parents and feels like the odd girl out in every situation in life. Within a split second everything changes when her gift of flying from god saves her life but people are around and now her secret is out. Sara meets the charming Simon and discovers why her parents have been so protective all these years.
The gift from god thing was a turn off to me, but other than that I enjoyed this book. It was different from anything I've read in a while. It was fast pace and kept you entertained, but to some this might not be their cup of tea.
Tamra Lassiter’s writing is clever and very well written. I’m excited to try out another one of her books. Looking at the covers it looks like she crosses over between genre’s this one being more fantasy, but she also has written suspense and more.
