All of Me
To bond with his destined mate, an Alpha wolf must look past what he sees and trust what he feels.
Bonded by their parents before they were conceived, wolf shifters Abel and Kai adored each other since they were children. As teens, the two future Alphas took the next step in their bonding process and vowed to remain true to one another until Kai came of age. But when tragedy struck, Abel felt betrayed and ran from Kai instead of completing their mating.
Abel never stops yearning for the man who was supposed to lead by his side and after years without contact, Kai returns, broken and on death's door. If Abel wants to fulfill their destiny and merge their packs, he'll need to look past what he saw and trust his heart.

Alpha shifters Abel and Kai were always meant to for each other. Destined to be together but genuinely in love with each other. Separated when Abel witnesses Kai doing the unthinkable, there can be no way back. Everything is not as it seems and you need to look below the surface to find the truth. The truth brings them together.
A sweet read but there wasn't the usual exploration and development of the relationship, which is what I love about Cardeno C.'s writing. As a short read it was a quick in and out read but I felt like I needed more.

When telling stories Cardeno C. always tries to find a different way to tell them. 'Places in Time' is unique in the way it tells the story of Jude and Ethan and the way it shows Ethan and us what he's missed in terms of Jude's feelings towards him over the years. It also shows the role Jude has played in making Ethan's acting career a massive success. Ethan has been blind to what was staring him right in the face. The trip down memory lane enable Ethan to focus and realise that what he wants and needs has always been right there for him.
Another sweet read and romance at its best. A story straight from the heart that keeps the idea of romance and HEA alive and kicking.

A Shot at Forgiveness
Sometimes to find love, you must first learn forgiveness.
A dozen years, two thousand miles, and a law degree after high school, Rafi Steiner continues to harbor resentment toward Isaac Jones, his childhood bully turned NBA star. When Isaac appears at Rafi's favorite restaurant acting like a long-lost friend, Rafi bluntly dismisses him.
But Isaac is tenacious and he has his heart set on the grown-up version of the boy he always wanted and never forgot. The way Isaac sees it, he and Rafi are perfect for each other, if only he could sink the most important shot of his life: his one shot at forgiveness.

One of the best shorts by Cardeno C. that I have read. Rafael has a strong dislike for Isaac after he made Rafael's life in school a living hell. There is however a thin line between love and hate and Isaac is back to claim what he should have when he was in high school: Rafael. Forgiveness is not easily given and the hurt runs deep in Rafael.
This is told from Rafael's point of view and it is this that made the book for me. His inner monologues are something special and will carry you through a raft of emotions as he struggles to understand Isaac's change of heart towards him. It was a really fun, sweet and quirky read. Everything I love about Cardeno C.'s writing.
Author Bio & Links
Cardeno C. - CC to friends - is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few "awwws" into a reader's day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno's stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever-after sunset.
Cardeno's Home, Family, and Mates series have received awards from Love Romances and More Golden Roses, Rainbow Awards, the Goodreads M/M Romance Group, and various reviewers. But even more special to CC are heartfelt reactions from readers, like, "You bring joy and love and make it part of the every day."
