Review of "Rescuing the Bridesmaid" By: Stella Hunter

"Rescuing the Bridesmaid" By: Stella Hunter
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Joanne Johnson met Nate Whitmore when she was, perhaps, not at her best. Mistaking him for a stripper certainly didn’t help her cause. Despite that less-than-stellar beginning they both realized there was a spark between them. Both had been burned before, however, and were reluctant to do anything about it. Sometimes, though, love and attraction don’t give you any choice. Struggling with each other and ghosts of relationships past – both memories and real! – keep Joanne and Nate on their toes.

This novella has interesting characters and a solid plot with enough conflict to keep things interesting. Joanne and Nate are regular people who have been burned by love before. Joanne has only recently broken up with her fiancé which is a problem for both her and now Nate. He doesn’t want to be a rebound and she isn’t sure if she is truly ready to begin a new relationship. Despite both being hesitant things move rather quickly though the will they/won’t they is still not decided. Things come to a head in an unexpected fashion which paves the way for a satisfying ending. A great summer read for the beach.
