Hadley takes Morgan to a motocross race that her boyfriend
Finn is racing in, the race is for charity. Morgan tells Hadley to give Finn an
ultimatum about getting married or breaking up, Finn doesn't want to get
married because his parents were married and divorced he doesn't want to loose
Becks. Rod comes to the race and tells her that giving him an ultimatum is a a
bad idea because he loves her. Hadley doesn't like that Finn isn't telling
anyone about their relationship because he is ashamed of her, but that isn't
the reason at all he likes to keep his private life private and he also wants
to protect Becks. The only people who know about their relationship are his
parents, Ricky and Hadley's friends. Hadley really wants to have kids, Finn
doesn't want to have kids but he also doesn't want Hadley on birth control.
Hadley and Finn go to a kite festival with Rod, Morgan and Ivan, Morgan and
Hadley start talking about Monday and Hadley's personal trainer Shane who hates
her. Morgan has a surprise for everyone, she is going to have a baby and get
married everything that Hadley wants. Hadley sees Finn's reaction to the news
and takes off, Finn goes after her and they proceed to get into an argument
about it. Do Hadley and Finn solve this argument? Hadley to Finn its Becks, she is 33 years old and her clock
is ticking to be able to have kids. She is a paralegal, she works with Morgan
and Rod and she works for Val. Finn is Hadley's boyfriend, sports caster,
daredevil. He has his own segment where people dare him to do things, Catholic.
Morgan is Hadley's and Rod's friend. She is a Lawyer, going to have a baby. Rod
is Morgan and Hadley's friend, works in the same firm as Morgan and Hadley. To
me he doesn't like to see people hurt, has a sister who is very sick. Ivan is a
personal trainer and Morgan's boyfriend, works at the gym where Rod, Morgan and
Hadley go. Ricky is Finn's friend and a cop. Val runs the firm where Morgan,
Hadley and Rod work. Shane is Hadley's personal trainer, very mean.
While reading this story I had a range of emotions, from sad
to happy. One of my favorite quotes from the story is “ It's such a hardship. I
will try to make it through. It's Easter and I might be wearing a dress. I
might cross my legs and accidentally brush up against yours. I hope you don't
get mad.” This is my first book by Ren Alexander and it definitely
will not be my last. I loved how the characters all connected together. I look
forward to reading book two.
