Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

A dark, psychological read that will twist up your mind completely. Disturbing and graphic but there is hope and light dotted throughout.

Madison has survived a horrific and disturbing childhood. Her career path to join the FBI is as a result of it. When her past comes after her, she comes under the protection of the FBI and Agents Scott and Liam, both of whom have an attraction to Madison.

Scott and Liam are complete opposites: one from the light and one from the darkness. With the evil of the past determined to bring her down, the true characters of the two will shine through. It is a demonstration of the impact of the past on the present. How the past can define us if we let it or how we can define the past for ourselves.

This was a terrifyingly, excellent read. It was a read that kept you on the edge of your seat until its nail-biting conclusion. As difficult a read it was, told from multiple POVs to get a complete understanding, it was intriguing and thought provoking.

You can find Genevieve curled up reading paranormal romance and romantic thrillers, or frantically typing her stories on her laptop.

Psychology is her trade by day, teaching and molding the minds of college students. Her interest in psychology can be seen in her books, each including many psychological undertones. Although she loves teaching,  her passion, her true love, lays in the stories that roam around her in head. Yes, they all come from her mind--the good, the bad, and the totally insane.

She lives in Massachusetts--no not Boston-with her husband, daughter, and American Eskimo dog. With each story she shares, she hopes her love for writing and storytelling seeps through, encompassing the reader and leaving them wanting more.
