Synopsis
Suzy’s a control freak and has her life mapped out - work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She’s content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.
City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. Two characters completely opposite in nature: Suzy is a planner and likes to know where she's going and what she's doing. Spontaneity is not in her vocabulary until a chance meeting at the side of a dark road brings City into her life. City comes to her rescue when her car breaks down. More than that he rescues her from her pedestrian life. City enjoys having a good time and does things when the feeling takes him. There is, however, more to City than meets the eye.
I really enjoyed the contrast between the characters and Suzy and City bring out the best in each other. Whilst there is more than meets the eye with City, the same can be said about Suzy and her secret desires.

Review
A read that can be devoured in one sitting. With it being Michael's turn to fall and to fall hard, he also has to contend with a deluded ex (well not even that). Mia is a strong woman and doesn't take any nonsense, which is exactly what he needs in a woman. Mia is a doctor and committed to healing people and can't get her head around those that fight, even professionally. With this difference of opinion and the crazy Tammy, is this relationship doomed before it even starts? I enjoyed the verbal sparring between Mia and Michael and I loved the strength of Mia's character.

What I like most about Michael is that appearances are deceiving. We have a guy who appears to be a complete badass on the outside but the reality is that he is a romantic with a huge heart and an enormous amount of compassion. Mia judges him first and foremost on appearances but thankfully takes the time to get to know and see beyond the outer shell.
The guys and gal of Inked are feisty characters that it will take some strong people to be able to love them.

I am so glad we got to see more of Suzy and City's story after falling in love with them in Throttle Me. I am equally glad that we don't get your typical HEA, everything is perfect story for them because life is not like that. They are a strong couple, madly in love with each other and when emotions like this are in play, jealousy and possessiveness are not far behind.
The importance of strong family roots and to trust in the one you love come out strongly throughout City's battle to control his jealousy before it destroys the most important relationship in his life. Suzy's old insecurities raise their ugly head about their relationship and their whole relationship and future is put on the line.
A fantastic short read that gives us more of my favourite characters so far and gives us lots of emotion and romance from the bad boy with a big heart.

Izzy's story was never going to be one of hearts, chocolate and flowers. She has too much sass and strength of character to be romanced in the typical way. She struggles with the whole relationship idea as she is worried about losing her identity. Being surrounded by the bossiest, badass brothers means that any man has to be on an equal level to them.
Enter James, badass cop who is working with her brother Thomas. He is everything that she is looking for and needs in a man and everyone can see that clearly except Izzy. She is determined to keep commitment out of the equation, scared about what it will mean for her. James, though, is the type of guy who recognises the strength of her character and would nurture it rather than quash it given a chance. One thing there is no compromising on though: he is the boss in the bedroom. Izzy needs a strong character like James: one that she can't walk all over; one that will call her on her crap; one that worship her strength and not try and quash it.
Izzy's story is quite different to those of her brothers and I loved it! Izzy is such a strong personality that seeing her vulnerability as she walks the relationship tightrope is refreshing. The whole book was just completely refreshing.
