Jessica
fumbled with his belt buckle for what seemed like hours. It was dark
and she couldn’t see well. Argh, why do they have to be button
fly? She cringed and bit her lip. Pain shot through her finger as
a corner of her nail tore off. Dammit! I’m really trying hard to
be seductive here! Why am I so spastic? He’s going to think I’m a
complete amateur! Squeezing her injured finger, she freed the
last button without incident. Finally! She slid off his pants
then reached into his boxer briefs, eager to find out what was
waiting for her. A gasp escaped her lips before she could stop it.
Irish curse? Um, that would be a big, fat swollen no. She
wrapped her fingers around him, her pulse racing with delight. Oh.
My. God.
“What’s
wrong?” He looked down at her.
She grinned.
“Absolutely nothing. Now kiss me.”

After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and being dumped by her fiancé, Jessica throws herself into a new work venture and is determined to not let her diagnosis stop her from getting ahead in her job. Whilst on a business trip she literally runs into James, who co-owns a new technology start up. Their first meeting doesn't go that well, with Jessica angry at herself for being so clumsy and taking it out on James. Fortunately, their paths cross again and they don't let the chance slip away again. The problem is that there are secrets abound both on a personal and a professional level that are a serious threat to their fledgling relationship.
James is the type of guy that every woman wants: compassionate, caring, romantic, successful and hot. Jessica is completely driven and wants to live her life as fully as she can but trusting James is a big step for her after her fiancé broke her heart once she told him about her diagnosis. Unfortunately, Jessica has a secret about a one night stand and with a former college friend not exactly on her side then the secret is bound to out.
This is a fun and quirky read but with a serious undertone at times. Both Jessica and James face many challenges in developing a relationship with each other but they just go to show that the work is worth it in the end.
