When Carter steps into his best friend's job to help her out, he doesn't expect his new boss Lance to be the sexy man he is. The attraction to him is instant and the chemistry off the charts but there is something about Lance that rubs Carter up the wrong way. When Carter stumbles across Lance's Billionaire Boys' Club and the discovery of Lance's kink, it results in Lance taking action and claiming Carter as his own. However, Carter has only really done vanilla in the past and Lance doesn't do relationships. Could this be doomed before it can even get going?
Carter is a very sweet guy, who wants to get on well with everyone and is very attracted to Lance and so wants more. However, he is not afraid to call Lance out on his bad behaviour. Lance is a little brooding yet determined and single minded in going after what he wants. He is used to getting what he wants that he can come across as arrogant.l
The back and forth between these characters made this read as well as the evolution of their relationship. There is also an element of suspense to go along with the sexiness of these two.
