When a rock star returns home and falls for the sister of his ex-girlfriend. Gray returns home after his father was admitted to hospital to help his sister and aunt take care him. This is despite the fact that his father has never shown an inch of compassion or pride in what his son has achieved. Maddie gave up her potential career and studies in music after an incident sent her running home, where she now lives a quiet and unassuming life. Until Gray ends up in her diner.
There was plenty to laugh out loud with in this book as Gray tries to do normal every day things around town. Whilst they both try hard not to fall for the other given who his ex is, it feels almost inevitable because the chemistry is off the charts. However, the price of fame doesn't come cheaply and being with Gray risks bringing Maddie's past back into play again.
This was a really good read and one I really enjoyed. I will be coming back and revisiting this author and I'm looking forward to the rest of these series as his brothers sound like really interesting characters too.
