It was a good job that Tristan was a decent guy otherwise this would have been a very different book. Elena ends up in his employ as a result of her brother's inability to stop gambling to pay off his debt. Tristan does so much more for Elena than anyone has in her life for a long time.
A modern twist on Beauty and the Beast - one of my all time favourite stories - complete with the most amazing library ever, which I so fell in love with. Tristan struggles with his feelings towards Elena as she reignites emotions he thought long gone. Elena brings out the best in him but he constantly pushes her away as he fights against himself. The event that led him too this point is not as it seems to be and secrets rarely stay buried.
A sweet twist on a classic fairy tale with two very sweet characters that engaging and that you can relate to.
