Caleb believes in fairytales, despite the fact that life has so far not been a fairytale for him. Zadie has kissed a number of frogs that have left her feeling jaded by love and relationships. But life doesn't work out the way you want sometimes as Caleb knows Zadie is his one and sets about convincing her of that. Zadie doesn't stand a chance.
Caleb was certainly sweet yet determined and focused on the things he is passionate about. Zadie, while confident in some areas of her life, is less confident in her love life and does a lot of pushing and pulling as she battles with her inner conflict.
Caleb's maturity helps Zadie when her very messy past becomes part of her present and threatens the fragile developing relationship and HEA with Caleb.
This was brilliantly written and the push and pull between them both really worked and kept me interested in their journey. I liked the fact that their lives were messy and that they were able to be less messy together.
