Rebel and Jax have been dancing around their attraction for each other for a while. With everything else that has been going on, uncertainty and caring for a family member seemed to put them on a permanent path to friendship. Jax has been spending more and more time with Rebel and and his grandfather, making sure that he is ok and cared for when Rebel can't. It is this caring side of Jax that Rebel finally starts to notice. Jax has a secret of his own though that is about to raise its ugly head and potentially pull them apart before they've even had a chance to be together.
Jax's uncertainty and lack of confidence is endearing and oh so sweet but it is his caring and generous nature that are winning characteristics.
Rebel is not a pretentious rock star in the least. He is genuine and caring to those around him that he considers to be family, even to those who have made mistakes in the past.
But it is Auggie, Rebel's grandfather who steals the show and your heart with his lack of filter and genius one liners.
Sandrine has a remarkable talent to create enduring love stories and characters who are the best side of humanity despite the darkness they have experienced. This has been a must read series for me.
Best selling author, Sandrine (Sandy) was born in Inglewood, California. Raised by "Old School" French parents, she later moved to Tucson, AZ. It was there that writing became a hobby. Always told she had a great imagination, Sandy wrote short stories for her friends in High School. In college, she took more writing classes while working on her Criminal Justice degree, but it wasn't until a soap opera caught her eye that she got involved in male on male romances. On the advice of a friend, Sandy dipped her toes into the world of M/M Romance. Sandy takes the writing seriously and has had countless conversations with gay men as well as hours of research. She's been involved with the military in one way or another for over twenty years, and has a great deal of respect for our men in uniform. She's traveled the world, but has finally returned to Arizona.
