Connor finds himself without a job, id, cash, credit cards and a car and someone is chasing him, intent on doing him harm. He finds himself at the Louisiana Kitchen in Texas, owned by Emily Kate. Using his charms he talks himself into a job and her bed. He is a top class chef and is just what Emily Kate needs. She wants to take a step back from the restaurant to focus on her passion for art. It is all a little too good to be true.

Both want to follow their dreams and live their passion: Emily Kate as an artist and Connor as an Executive Chef in a top class restaurant in Detroit. Along with trying to stay out of danger, one of them will discover that dreams can change.

Connor's motives for getting together with Emily Kate may be murky to start with but he finds more than he bargained for as he falls big time for her.

I loved these characters and the southern charm that comes from the local characters at the restaurant. This combined with the sense of danger keeps you riveted to your seat to the very end.
