Review of Khul Waters' Journey Into Submission Series

"The Training of Kate"
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

This is Kate's journey of self-discovery of she is and what she wants from her life.  She has been coasting along until recently and has ended up in a deep funk about her life.  It is obvious that Kate's sexual preferences are greatly impacted by her experience with her form teacher at the boarding school she went to.  She has spent her life trying to replicate that submissive relationship without success.

Determined to find her way again, she escapes to another city and delves into a new social networking site with realistic avatars and movements.  It is here that she meets Miles, who shows her the ropes.  But it seems like neither of them know what they from life and both have some difficult decisions to make.

Kate's journey is an interesting one, with the author choosing the written word both in the form of a diary and online chatting to describe her sexual encounters.   Kate is easy to relate to and easy to like.  I am looking forward to see where Kate ends up and what she decides to do.

"The Re-Taking of Kate"
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

After following Kate's journey of self-discovery in 'The Training of Kate', we now follow Kate as her decisions have been made and her sexuality is awakened and she goes after her heart's desire.  Miles has made his life changing decisions and is determined to be with Kate.

As we know, things never go as smoothly as they should and a shocking incident has the potential to turn everything on its head and drive a wedge between Miles and Kate before its even begun.

Kate gives herself completely to Miles and finds a contentment that has been missing from her life when she finally submits to him.  Each of the scenes showing her submission are hot and perfect for the characters involved.  Kate is a lot more confident and has a greater belief in herself in this instalment and a lot of that is down to Miles and the way he is with her but a lot is down to Kate herself finally realising what it is she wants.  I can't wait to see where this series goes next.

"The Runaway"
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

As Kate's submissive journey continues with Miles and they explore the boundaries of their relationship there is a dark cloud from Kate's past hanging over them and threatening to destroy what they have together.

This was a perfect end to the series for me.  I loved watching how the dynamics of their relationship unfold and Kate and Miles find themselves in it, as they both fit seamlessly into their roles.  Kate has finally found someone she can truly submit to and she submits easily with him because of his dominance.  I love the fact that she is able to find a  way of getting back at Miles when he punishes her with unique and erotic acts.   Their relationship was fantastic to be a part of and even the dark cloud had a silver lining.  Miles so completely understands Kate that he knows exactly what Kate will do and how she is feeling and rather than be angry and reacting in a negative way, he seeks her out.

The eroticism of the story, along with Kate embracing her submissive nature made this a fantastic and a hot read.  How can you not love these characters when you see the love they have for each other and the kindness and generosity that they share with others?
