You’re not going to want to pass this one by! Kadence is a sassy woman that knows who she is. Nix is a hot, dirty mouthed and bossy biker who knows how to fire up “Miss Turner.”
Incandescent starts with Kadence Turner surviving a house fire and being abandoned by her butt of a fiancé Zane. Three years later, Kadence has recovered from her injuries and is teaching middle school. A terse parent meeting with one of her student’s dad, Nix, changes Miss Turner from prim and proper school teacher into a blossoming woman.
Nix is president of the local MC club, a club that works hard at being legal, staying clean, and promoting the community. All that illegal and bad dealing stuff is in the past. Isn’t it?
Nix is like a big kid, he sees what he wants and goes after it wanting it now. Kadence loves Nix’s dirty mouth and bossy ways but won’t admit it. Nix is full of charm in how he tells Kadence how it is. This attitude of Nix’s carries through where we see Nix pursuing Kadence, how he loves her and wanting her to be permanent in his life. I loved seeing both the hard biker side of Nix and the soft loving side of him.
Nix’s son is having issues being in a split family. Incandescent handled Z’s issues very well. It’s always hard to introduce a new person into a kid’s life and Kadence handled this brilliantly.
Kadence’s ex-fiancé shows back up in town. He threatens and abducts Kadence and her best friend Holly. Both Kadence and Holly must fight for their lives especially after Holly is shot just because Zane is evil.
The story of Kadence is bright as she weaves her way through the people in the book. She brings together her family, Nix and his son Z, the guys in the club, and even Nix’s dad.
We see Kadence blossom and affect everyone around her in a positive light. Kadence manages to remain classy and how you would want your kid’s teacher to be while at the same time unleashing her desires at home with Nix.
