When college student, Nora Stirling, makes the tough choice to transfer schools to be closer to her family, what she isn’t prepared for is that things start to go wrong the minute one of her new roommates opens the front door. When a house meeting is called and Milo appears, one look has Nora spinning.

Milo Daughton is moody, flirty and a known player. As irresistibly sexy as he is, he runs hot and cold, and there are a set house rules in place. Determined to focus on school, Nora sets out to keep Milo and his heartbreaking ways out of her life, and out of her bed.

When she finds that her tires have been slashed, Nora chalks it up to being a random prank at her expense. As strange things continue to happen though, she questions if she is being targeted. With her unlikely group of roommates rallying around her, she struggles to accept their help. Can she figure out who is behind it all, or will everyone be put at risk of getting hurt at her expense?

“You still have the hots for him too, don’t you?”

I could never lie to my friend. “Do we have to talk about this now?” I asked. When he nodded, I continued reluctantly. “He always seems to be around and he consumes my dreams,” I sighed.

Adam grinned. “That’s what I thought. Now let’s swim. Want me to flirt with you and make him jealous?”

“Uh no, that would get awkward fast. Thanks though.”

I slid slowly into the pool while Adam decided on a cannonball. Milo swam over and hung unto the wall beside me. He looked around before he began to speak.

“What was Adam saying to you a minute ago?”

“Nothing important.”

“Do you have a thing for each other?”

A laugh burst from my mouth. “Not a chance. Adam is like the brother I never had. Why?”

Milo shrugged. “Just curious.” He pulled on my hand as he pushed off the wall into the middle of the pool, dragging me with him.

I had to tread to keep myself afloat, but he put his arm around me, pulling me closer to him.

“You know, you are making staying above the water a little difficult, Milo.”

“So put your arms around me, I’ll keep you up.” He said with a smirk.

“Stop being all cutesy with me.” I said pushing off of him.

“You think I’m cute?” He asked, his smirk turning into a full-on glorious smile.

“Ugh that is not what I meant and you know it.”

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see that attention was falling on us. “People are beginning the stare.”

“So?”

Really? How could he have such a nonchalant attitude?

He drifted a little closer to me, and I tried to put more distance between us, but he just kept coming until soon there was nowhere else for me to go as I pressed up against the wall. Closer still, he came until my mind was short-circuiting. My gaze flicked between his gorgeous eyes and his lips that were close enough to kiss.

“Nora?”

“Mmm?”

“I asked you a question.”

I shook myself out the daydream. “Sorry. What was the question?”

Milo smiled. He knew what he was doing to me. He leaned in even closer, speaking the words against my ear.
