Review of "Discovery" By: Char Webster

"Discovery" By: Char Webster
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Eighteen years ago Brook's mansion was blown up, by a couple who refused to tell him where their child was. Brook's is very determined to find it, he has had 22 surgeries to cover his scars. Kate was went out with the girls as it was her last day of school for the summer. The next day she received a call from a social worker for help with a child who has been kicked out of her foster home. Kate of course dropped everything and helped her. While talking to Alex she got a bad feeling from someone who came into Dawn Johnson's office.

Kate is the youngest person to have her PHD in Psychology. Doesn't like having days off, Guidance counselor. Nick keeps an eye on the children, owns a house close to Kate's. Has been undercover for three months. Robert used to be Nick's friend, rude. Dawn is Alex, Zach and Maddy's social worker, Director of Family Services. Ryan is Nick's friend, got a call to keep an eye on the children. Jason is one of Nick's friends, helping keep the Children safe. Alex is 13 years old, going into eighth grade, she skips school, she has good grades, no friends. Zach is Alex and Maddy's brother, 12 years old. He loves to read, good grades and going into seventh grade. Madison gets called Mads by Zach and Alex. Brooks is a horrible person, he wont stop until he gets what he wants. He is very determined. Louise is Brook's wife, staying out of Brooks's way. Frank works for Brooks, blames himself for what happened to Brooks. Joel works for Brooks. Cindy is Kate's friend and coworker. Ted is Kate's boss, principal.

This is the first book in the Gifted series. It took me awhile to get into this story but once I did I couldn't put this book down. I loved how well the characters were developed and I look forward to reading more books by Char Webster.
