Review of "Betrayed" By: Suzannah Daniels

"Betrayed" By: Suzannah Daniels
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

Being a massive fan of Suzannah Daniels' work, I have been eagerly waiting for Paxton's story, particularly as he was a bit of an idiot in 'Deceived'.  This is my favourite of the series so far.  I absolutely adored Jessica and Paxton's journey - it felt so real.

Any one of us could find ourselves in Jessica's situation: just trying to survive and look after her baby.  Sometimes life doesn't go your way and throws obstacle after obstacle in your way, leaving you on your knees with nowhere else to go.  All it takes is a little help and support to get back on your feet and fight your way back.  When Jessica falls on hard times, she has no-one to turn to for help but her ex, Paxton.  Their history is not good so it is a miracle that he agrees to help her in the first place.  The thing about Paxton is that under all that bluster and bravado is a kind-hearted man just trying to find his place in the world.

The characters, plot and writing all worked seamlessly together to create a beautiful story that leaves you a little breathless.  It is a story that we can all relate to and fall in love with.  I certainly did and I'm still feeling good and tingly after reading it.
