This was an amazing book!!! I absolutely loved it. Jody made the characters soo relatable. That really drew me into the book.

Mark Lyon busted his butt get where he is today. He definitely was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He hate the holiday season. There are so many on the streets that beg for handouts and it angers him. He cannot understand why they cannot get a job and make a life for themselves as he had. When he meets a lady and has an incredible night with her for her to be gone the next morning. She happens to be at 5th e church near his apartment volunteering. in order to get back in bed he must help her and also volunteer. the next day is similar. Only when he goes to the church she is not there. He finds her at the hospital near by in the ICU. He stays with her until she is released and takes her back to his place to care for her. He learns from her that not all are as fortunate and starts to be more understanding.

Charity is a very giving person. When she meets a man that is highly attractive she goes home with him to enjoy a rather fun night. She leaves the next day to volunteer. She is surprised when he shows up and helps her. She does the same the next day, though she sure did not expect to be waking up in a hospital. When she is released she goes with the man that has sat by her side the entire time.

To find out why Charity ends up in the hospital and why Mark becomes more understanding you must read this book and it is sooo worth the read!!!!

Jody was born and raised in New York City and is an only child of an English professor. After 9/11/2001 and a line of duty injury, she left her role as an EMT with FDNY-EMS for a quieter life. She pursued Bachelor's degrees at Arizona State University in Molecular Biosciences and English. Her love of books and introduction to the Indie book world led to many wonderful friendships, and the drive to write and publish was ignited. Jody loves to travel and meet new people and has lived in five states and has visited 48 out of 50 US states. 

 Jody is a single mom to her daughter Ariel Elizabeth and her cat, Bullet.
