Review of "Every Heart Sings" By: Mackenzie Lucas

"Every Heart Sings" By: Mackenzie Lucas
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Former child star Jordan has been hiding out in Serenity after her life imploded.  Wanting nothing to do with the limelight, Jordan has carefully constructed her life to ensure that she is safe from public attention.  Josh is a famous rock star who finds his way to Serenity for peace and quiet to write his next album.  Both have had very different experiences of fame and when Jordan's nephew shows a talent for music, Jordan is keen to protect him at all costs while Josh wants to nurture his talent.

This was a fun read with a cast of quirky supporting characters.  Jordan's fear of being in the public eye happens to the detriment of everything else around her.  Josh has to work really hard to overcome this fear just to stay in town never mind saving it from its slow death.  Can the intense attraction be enough to convince Jordan to take a chance on opening her heart and her town?

This was a great escapism read for a quiet weekend to shut out the rest of the world for a few hours.  It comfortably wraps you up in the lives of those living in Serenity and reluctantly lets you go at the end.
