Summers in San Francisco where Nathan flew in from yesterday afternoon, were much cooler and outdoor workouts weren't nearly as taxing. He is in New York on a business trip, on his way back to the hotel he sees a beautiful woman on the street, he wants to go after her but he decided that would be a bad idea. Julia misses California and her family. She used to love working at Manhattan Interiors but that was until Gerard sold his share of the business to Vanessa because his lover left him for a younger man. Both Julia and Nathan couldn't stop thinking about each other.They get together, the next day Nathan regrets it because he has a fiance at home. When he tells her that she was really hurt. She then leaves New York to go back home.

Nathan Atwood was on a weeks trip to New York, he can't stop thinking about Julia, He feels bad about what happened in New York so he does anything that his fiance Cameron wants to do. Julia McKinnon is a Interior designer, she has won 3 design awards. She loves to dress nice, her aunt Madelyn is in the fashion industry. Travis is Gerard's friend, he is part owner in a business with Nate. Doesn't get along with Cameron. Cameron Always wants to do things and never wants to sit at home. Nathan's fiance and she doesn't like to go places by herself. Lauren is Julia's twin sister, she is a photographer for National Geographic,her boss drives her nuts. Gerard has been friends with Julia's aunt Madelyn. he obtained the internship for Julia. Vanessa took an instant dislike to Julia, she advised Gerard against taking her on. She has been in that business for almost 20 years and she hasn't won any awards.

This is my first book by Janet Nissenson and it wont be my last. I loved how I was hooked from the first page. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I felt that I could really connect with the characters. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

While Ian was in boarding school, he didn't like the discipline imposed on him by his teachers. Know though he could fully appreciate that guidelines that had been instilled in him so long ago. Ian had grown up around well dressed women his mother, grandmothers, aunts and cousins. It didn't matter that Tessa's simple dress had been bought off of a sale rack or a discount store, she looks stunning in anything that she wears. Tessa is a very quiet person, she doesn't like to gossip or tell people about her personal life. Tessa just went to work and did her job and she excelled at it. Tessa's husband Peter wants a divorce because he can't give her what she needs. When Tessa is alone she can feel the darkness and she has to fight it off. When Tessa finally tell's Ian that she is getting a divorce, Ian starts on his plan to be with Tessa.
Ian has iron control over his emotions he is 39 years old, he is very protective of Tessa. He is in charge of the North American and the South American Hotels. Tessa Lockwood Transfers from Tuscon resort. She is on the management support team. She is 24 and she doesn't like to feel alone. She doesn't have many friends expect know for Julia. Jason is a creep and he is married to Ian's cousin. He has a lot of sexual harassment complaints against him, he was transferred to a different branch and got a demotion. Andrew is Ian's PA, he knows how to run of the office, he is called the Ice Man. Gina works for Ian but she wanted to be in fashion. Alicia has a thing for Ian, doesn't like Tessa. Julia is Tessa's friend.
This book is very well written and the characters were very well developed. I again was drawn into the story from the beginning. I felt connected to the characters. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Angela hadn't been pushing hard today since she has a tough 50 Kilometer trail race scheduled for next weekend. She runs 20 miles a day. Winters in San Francisco were relatively mild compared to most of the country. Food for Angela has lost its appeal around the same time that her entire world had been shattered. Julia, Lauren and Dwayne were on her all the time about all the weight that she has lost. Angela works in a corner office to be away from people, she hears from her assistant Cara that they have hired the guy to take over for someone who has retired. She never dreamed that it would be the man who shattered her. When Nick went into the office of Angela he was very surprised to see her look the way that she does. Nick is trying to get Angela back but she doesn't want him back. He gets Cara to help him get her to eat and to tell him her schedule. Nick shows up at Angela's race and she wasn't happy to see him there. Nick refuses to give up, he even offered to compromise so they could be together.
Angela Del Carlo is a runner, she is Julia and Lauren's friend. She used to drink a lot and she never thought that Nick would leave. Jessup Prior, she is a very good stalk broker. She never thought that she would see Nick again. Nick Manning used to be a pro football player for the San Fransico 49's. He used to work with Angela, Calls Angela angel. He left Jessup Prior. Julia is a very kind person and way more subtle about Angela's weight loss. She is Lauren's twin. Lauren is the more ballsy of the two and she is very in your face. She was there for Angela through all the drunken nights. Cara is Angela's assistant, she is very loyal and hardworking. Always tries to get Angela to eat. Cara is a hopeless romantic. Dwayne used to be called Dwayne the Dweeb. Angela's boyfriend. He is a long jumper and has a shot of going to the Olympics.
This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I felt very connected with the characters. Janet Nissenson knows how to draw people into the story.
