Cricket moved to the Pacific North West to be close to her friend Chelle and to get a fresh start. She decided to go sight seeing and she got lost in a reservation. She was treated very poorly by one of the men who got her car unstuck. He told her that "her kind wasn't welcome here." She called him a racist and asked where the closest police station was so she can report the mail box that she knocked down, he told her. She went there and found out that the man that helped her was little Samson and that he was a very nice man.
Cricket just broke off her third and final engagement. She doesn't want to hurt anybody around her. Her sister was killed. Jyme- Little Samson, he is Indian and he has been hurt by his ex girlfriend,he is a very rude person. Chelle is Cricket's friend and has two boys, knew Cricket since college, got Cricket a job. Charlotte is the ranger at the station, she is very nice. D'Artagnan is Cricket's boss. Ophelia O is the receptionist where Cricket works, she is a very nice person. Ayashe is Chelle's friend is from the reservation, knows Jyme and Kanoke and Sheen.
This is my first book by Phoenix and it wont be my last. I was hooked from the first page. I loved how well the book was written and how well the characters were developed. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Jyme was cursed and he knew it and so did everyone on the reservation. He had to take care of his family since the age of 12, since his father was a drunk and he couldn't take care of them. Elle is a very small woman and she couldn't handle him. When his mother and the elders of the reservation sent Elle to her grandparents to heal, she cheats on him.
Jyme own's his own fishing company, likes to race things like boats, carsand bikes. Elle was Jyme's girlfriend of 9 years. Loon is Jyme's cousin. Kanoke is Jyme's cousin but he has no relation to Loon. Sheen is married with children and he is Jyme, Kanoke and Loon's friend. Cricket is Jyme's love interest.
This is book is written in Jyme's point of view, you have to read the first book before this one. I loved this book Phoenix know's how to tell a good story. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

She was rescued by Jyme and she has bruises from the last time she was beat on. Jyme found her because D'Artagnan called him and told him that he has found her. Jyme and Cricket have 3 children.
Jyme went to all around the United States trying to find Cricket, he hasn't been the same man since she left. Cricket has done everything to protect Jyme. She is an ex prostitute. Chelle is Cricket's friend and she sent Jyme on a wild goose chase. Trey and Troy knew how to get Cricket back. D'Artagnan found Cricket and he wants to help her. Cinnamon is a prostitute and Cricket's friend. Sugar is a prostitute and Cricket's friend.
You have to read the first book in order to understand this book. Phoenix does it again. Another book that I couldn't put down. I loved how well this story was written and how well the characters were developed. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
