Small town cop Clint Rivera can’t catch a break. His ex of two weeks is suddenly getting married, his dogs tore up his furniture, he’s getting evicted, and he’s out of beer. When he decides to solve his alcohol shortage by going to his ex’s engagement party, Clint winds up too drunk to drive himself home. Enter gorgeous deputy mayor Hawk Black, the man who constantly shows up unexpectedly and sends Clint’s body and mind into a tailspin with nothing but his whiskey voice and blue eyes.
After months of patience, Hawk can finally seduce the man he’s been craving. Clint’s day might not have started out well, but Hawk’s going to make sure it ends with a bang, preferably in bed. He’ll show Clint some rewards are worth the risk.

REVIEWS

Rough Edges
Rating: 3.5*

'Rough Edges' felt a little rough around the edges to me.  It felt as though this could have been a longer read than it was.

Kyle and Brent come from opposite ends of the social spectrum.  Kyle has had to work hard for everything in his life, whereas as Brent has had everything handed to him on a plate.  Kyle resents Brent for this, even more so when Kyle loses everything.  But there is more to Brent than meets the eye.

A short, sweet read about not passing judgement on people.  It was typical Cardeno C style but I wanted more.

Jumping In
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

I loved this short read!  Hawk has wanted Clint before he even moved into town.  He is not going to let the hot cop slip through his fingers.  The fact that Clint's ex is now engaged to a woman presents Hawk with an opportunity to show Clint how he feels.

Hawk doesn't just announce his intentions to Clint: he claims Clint completely as his own much to Clint's shock and amazement.  I loved how Hawk always made Clint feel special and always managed to put him on the back foot.

Hot, sexy, sweet and with a Cardeno C HEA.  What more could you ask for!?!
