Mia drove half way across the US to go see her brother and his wife Araceli with only her dog Brady as a companion. While she was on her way back to her house, she was getting very upset about the people who were in front of her wouldn't go on a green light. Mia went to work to set up her classroom.
Mia is Shelby's best friend, 27 years old. She is a second grade teacher, Loves to run and she is really good with kids. Shelby is Mia's best friend, a second grade teacher. Married to Mike. Adam is Maddison and Luke's father. He has his own business. He is a single father. Maddison "Maddie" Luke's twin. She is in Mia's second grade class. She is very sweet, Adam's daughter. Luke is Maddie's twin. Adam's son and he is in Shelby's class. Gia is Mia's ex best friend, she has a daughter and she is very rude. Sophie is Gia's daughter. Peter "Pete." is Mia's best friend since Kindergarten. Josh is Mia's older brother, lives in Texas. Married to Araceli. Araceli is Josh's wife, Mia's sister in law, lives in Texas.
This is the first book in the Giving Trilogy. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I loved that I was drawn into the story and I loved how connected I was to the characters. I look forward to reading more books by LM Carr.
