Sam Waters has always wanted something better than his life in lowly little Duck Creek. But how could he leave Ever, the girl he's protected from an abusive father since they were little? She needs him. Until one explosive night changes everything. And suddenly Sam is on the run, a wanted man.

He lands in Nelson Island, South Carolina--gorgeous, sunny and home of Aston Hopewell, heiress to her father's international conglomerate. Aston has never met anyone like the hot ranch hand. Sam is so driven, so intense. And he gets her like no one else ever has. But even he won't tell her everything. . .

Sam has sacrificed everything, and his only reward: betrayal from his brother and Ever back at home. Now he stands at a crossroads with one chance to get it right with the sexiest woman he's ever met...if it's not already too late.

★☆★☆ Ever Always ★☆★☆

Hunter Waters has loved only one woman for his entire life.
Unfortunately she's his brother's girlfriend, Ever Allen. Hunter isn't the kind of guy to betray family, but when his brother Sam has to leave town and asks Hunter to look after her, the feelings he's fought for years can no longer be buried.

Ever can't think of a time when both Waters brothers hadn't been watching her back. Sam's boldness had charmed her, but now Hunter's quiet, steady strength makes her feel safe for the first time in her crazy, messed-up life. But how can she choose between the only two people in the world to have cared about her? How can she live with loving one brother if it means breaking the other's heart?

★☆★☆ Falling Deep ★☆★☆

Reed Hopewell is a lot of things to a lot of people . . .
To his parents, he's the son who needs to get serious. To his friends, he's the player they all want to be. And to his fans, he's the hottest rocker in Charleston. But never has Reed been anyone's hero-until the night he finds Hope.

Hope Dawson can count the number of men she trusts on one hand. Definitely not the guys she goes out with or the stepfather who treats her like property. She'd be out of his house tomorrow if not for the need to protect her little sister. "Wanting Forever"
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Affairs of the heart can be complicated and it becomes more complicated when your heart and your head are telling you different things.

Sam finds himself on Nelson Island after running from his home in Duck Creek to protect his girl, Ever.  What he doesn't count on is meeting Aston and fighting a growing attraction for her, knowing that it is wrong as both he and her are already in a relationship with other people.

Aston wants to hate Sam for wheedling his way into her family and their business but she can't when she is fighting her growing attraction for him.  While she has a boyfriend, Princeton, the relationship has sizzled out and Sam is the only person who sees who she truly is and straight through the walls she has built up around herself.

This is a complicated, emotional read that tugs at the heartstrings as these two struggle with their feelings and relationship with each other.

"Ever Always"
Rating: 3.5*

This was always going to be a difficult read after the events of 'Waiting Forever'.  Ever came across in that as sulky and selfish and her actions with Hunter didn't endear her to me.  I get that you can't help who you fall in love with but there is a way of dealing with that minimises the hurt on all sides.  I am completely empathetic to the life that she had with her father and the situation she found herself in.  However, there was an immaturity about that was difficult to overlook and to find endearing.  And whilst Diana Gardin has made a real effort to reedem Ever, she hasn't quite succeeded for me.  Hunter is not on my likeable list either.

The conflict that they both felt as they battled their feelings for each other was brilliantly written but I couldn't find much sympathy for them as it came tumbling down around them.

"Falling Deep"
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

One hell of a ride!  The conflict that Hope must be going through in protecting her sister by something that she hates is felt throughout.  Hope's strength of character is something that comes out really strongly throughout.  Even though she hates her job for her step-father, it does bring her into Reed's life.

Reed is still struggling to find his place in the world, conflicted between duty in working at his father's company and his passion for music.  Never in a million years did he think he would give up his womanising ways and settle down with one woman, until Hope.  Hope gives him hope of a future that he wants.

This was a powerful and emotional read as courage and love strive to come out on top.  It kept me captivated from the first word to the last, not wanting to let me go.  My favourite of the series so far.

I'm a Virginia girl living In South Carolina, and my beloved home in the South is the backdrop for all of my novels. I adore writing about Southern girls and boys finding their way in and out of love. I'm married to the love of my life, and we have two fabulous/crazy children and an equally crazy boxer doggie. Life is a fun roller-coaster, and I wouldn't trade it! Now that I'm a stay-at-home-mom and have recently added author to my list of things to do, I'm busy ALL THE TIME!
