"Tumbleweed" By: Julia Bramer
Rating: ☆☆☆☆
I really enjoyed this book because it was more like a true story than a fairy tale. I cried a lot during this book. There was so much sadness and so much that broke my heart. But there was also happiness.
I loved all of the characters in the book. Haley was such a strong woman who fought very hard. I really loved Haley. Her best friend Jillian was amazing everyone needs a best friend like her.
Haley is an amazing photographer who goes to Spain when she is only 18 years old by herself. She falls in love with Mikel. Then everything goes wrong and her whole life changes and she is devastated. But she ends up being the strong woman that I knew she was from the beginning. My favorite quotes from the book come from the ending of the book. They are from Jack Luck who she meets in Paris with his wife and she sails with them for awhile. I really like Jack's character in the book, he seems like an amazing person. My first quote is "I'm not going to ask you to tell me what happened but you're strong and I'm sure you'll get past it. You must Haley. The world needs you and your talent." My second favorite is "Your Haley's comet and we need you on Earth." I think these two quotes was just amazing and so encouraging. I think these words helped Haley so much. I know if I was her and in her position these words would help me.
I think everyone needs to read this book because the stuff that happens in this book could happen to anyone. I think that's what made me love this book so much. I really love to read books that are more real than fairy tale books. Julia Bramer this book was amazing and I hope there will be more to Haley and Mikel's story and I hope to read on about Jillian also. This book was really well written and the accents in it I felt like I was really listening to them talking instead of just reading it.
